Hot Pink Bracelet Purse

Hot Pink Bracelet Purse by Pam Gillette
(click on pic for bigger view)

In honor of the upcoming Race for the Cure http://www.racecure.org/ I made this little purse to keep my keys and cell phone in when I’m walking for the cure.

The purse has 2 different length handles, when the long one is slipped through the shorter one, it completely closes the purse to secure your small items, then slips on your wrist like a bracelet. I did not invent this concept; it’s been done before on the “Lucy Bag” on Lion Brand’s website (with a way bigger purse than this) and I’m sure there are many other variations out there. I can't take credit on this great idea, but I sure like it and it filled a need.

If you like this pattern, leave me a comment and let me know!

Pam, really a neat little purse! When I walk, I need something for my house keys, I usually pin it to my bra with a safety pin! Hah! Now I"ll make a little bracelet purse to keep it in!

I love it!
Such a clever concept.

In testing this pattern yesterday, I made 5 bracelet purses, so I deceided when I walk for the cure on May 14th, if anyone comments on it, (that's positive comments!) I'll give them one, and do this until I run out! I actually have 1/2 the skien left, so I will probably whip up a few more and use the skein up. Just a little way of sharing.

I absolutely love this pattern. When I cam across this pattern, I made one for myself because I walk a lot and I hate taking a purse with me, to hold my cell phone, keys and cc card (if I'm going shopping). Well, once my daughers (2 teens and 1 pre-teen) saw it, they all had to have one. I am now working on my 9th purse because their friends want them also. Thank you for sharing this with us all!!!

I LOVE this! Thank you so much for the free pattern. My friend got sick(lovely swine flu) and isn't able to get things together for our other friends baby shower tomorow, so I've stepped in to make it come together. I needed a little bag just like this for the game prizes(each including breast cancer awareness jewelry as well ;)).

I've done the Race for the Cure for the past 2 years and I will make several of these for next year when I walk again. Thank you so much!
