The perfect yarn holder

This little bamboo handled sewing basket is the perfect yarn holder!

I inherited this little antique sewing basket from my older sister Sue, who got it from my Mom, which (I think) came from my Grandmother Rose Luedke. It is just big enough to fit a skein of yarn and the handle slips over my wrist for “portability”. I have a tendency to “roam” with my projects, usually to be closer to where ever my boys are playing! I'm curious, when you crochet or knit, do you stay in one spot or roam like me?

(BTW -this project happens to be a "testing version" of Maude, in brown. YUM!)

I have one spot, its my chair and godforbid anyone sits in it! Just kidding! The only time I need to transport my projects is when I go to a SNB meeting.

No, I don´t move while crocheting/knitting. I stay quiet like a really coach potato! ;)

Out of boredom, sometimes I move from one room to another while crocheting. I carry my materials in the box that came with the threads :p Not a pretty sight...
Your basket is cute ;)

I usually stay in one spot. But I might roam around with a great bag like that!

This basket is lovely, and how precious it's also a family herloom!
I don't roam with my projects : i've got a project waiting for me in every room I can sit in, and two others in my purses (my work purse and my leisure purse)
:o))

First, I freaking love your scarf you got!! It is so beautiful! Yeah, I tend to roam when I knit. I will sometimes go from my spot I sit at on the couch to the bed. Mostly on the couch though. I know you will be cherish your inherited yarn holder for a long time to come!! I wished I had something now from my grandmother when she used to knit. I would carry it around everywhere I knit.

Hi Pam,
good to see you again. Your bag is just lovely. I could definitely use one of theese, I hate to feel stuck on a couch or a chair with alla my yarn balls running around and the kitties playing with it! ;-)
