Circle of Yarn

Somtimes I just need to "create"
and what ever comes of it, I usually like.

In this case, I had an old wooden quilting hoop, I wrapped scrap yarn around the outer circle, weaved more scraps in and out and this came out! I love it! I can see other things (fringe, tassels, feathers or beads) dangling from it, but I'm going to absorb this view for awhile. I also did this technique with an old wooden picture frame. The glass broke, the picture was damaged, so I removed that and used the retangle frame the same way as this circle hoop. Someday I plan to hang them in a collage of sorts in my craft room. My Wall of Yarn Art. It's soft to touch and easy on the eyes!

Great idea! You could do them in all different colors/color combinations.

oh Pam that is ART. I hope you make more and bigger ones. What a fantastic idea!!

You could do very well with these.

I like the texture and the colors. I understand that part that sometimes you just need to create something. Totally agree.

Pam, so unique, I like the idea and great way to use up yarn. I also have that need to "just create" that is when I usually sew. :) Mary

That is a mandala in the oldest sense; a shield to show who you are.
