Saffron

Here is what became of my Manos yarn, I've named it Saffron,
after the world's most expensive spice.

It has to work with jeans...

...and a skirt.

Wow! This is a gorgeous sweater! The shaping is marvelous too. Details please. What size hook did you use? What stitches did you use? Looks like a fan stitch?

I love the color and the stitches, is is shell stitch? Is this pattern going any where?

Thanks everyone, I love this summer top. It is shell stitch, a dc 5 in same sp, then skip 2, sc 1, skip 2 repeat. I did this pattern as a test of my design skills, I wrote the pattern from a swatch gauge, then crocheted the pattern. I usually crochet and write at the same time, just trying to speed up the process.

I'm using Saffron as a sample for my book proposal, so it might not be available. There are so many great summer top patterns out there, if you are intertested in something similar I bet you could find one in Interweave Crochet magazine or Crochet Today's latest issue. Thanks again for the sweet comments!
